🚢 About the Hydrogen Cruise Ship

The eco-friendly cruise, developed under the Harit Nauka initiative, is a 24-meter-long air-conditioned catamaran built by Cochin Shipyard Ltd. It can carry up to 50 passengers and is powered by:

  • 50 kW PEM fuel cell system
  • Lithium-ion battery backup
  • Solar panel support

With 5 onboard hydrogen tanks, the cruise operates silently for 8 hours per refill, producing only water as a byproduct.

  • Length: ~24 m (some reports mention ~28 m)

  • Capacity: ~50 passengers
